Etai BenShlomo is a New York-based actor. He is best known for a two-year run as Boq in the smash musical Wicked on Broadway, a role he also performed in the San Francisco and First National Touring companies. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan’s acclaimed BFA Musical Theatre Department and the Moscow Art Theatre School (Click here to read Etai’s blog of his adventures in Moscow). This summer, Etai was seen as Arpad in the star-studded 50th Anniversary concert staging of She Loves Me at Caramoor Center for the Arts and as Henry in Next to Normal at the Weston Playhouse. Other credits include: Freddy Honeychurch in the world premiere of A Room with a View at The Old Globe; Con Man in the premiere of Windows at American Opera Projects; The Muny (Les Miserables, Annie, Gypsy, High School Musical); Kansas City Starlight (Fiddler on the Roof). Readings and workshops: Newsies, Little Miss Sunshine, Nobody Loves You, Somewhere in Time, To Paint the Earth, and the upcoming Damascus Square. He is currently developing a new musical with composing team Zachary Redler and Sara Cooper.
